Respond! was established in 1982 and is Ireland's largest non-profit housing associations. It has a number of day care units for the elderly throughout Ireland. Three Q Catering supplies chefs to Neathercross Respond! Finglas to cater for up to 100 day residents from the Finglas south area. We met with the Head Chef in 2007 to introduce our services which enable him to take time off when required safe in the knowledge that replacement chefs are well trained and able to undertake the role as head chef in his absence.

I went to Three Q looking for a job as a Senior Chef in one of Dublin's leading fine dining restaurants. I was interviewed the day after I submitted my CV and they put me forward for a chef position the very same day. I was impressed!

After my 2nd interview with the restaurant, I was offered a full time position which I started on the following week.  I found everyone really friendly at Three Q and they worked so quickly to find the right job for me.

I am now working in one of Dublin's best restaurants and although its very hard work I am enjoying every minute of it.

Pavelina started working with the agency in March 2007.

Since working with Three Q, I have worked in a number of different client sites. When I first joined, my job was as a catering assistant. Once I completed all the in-house training, I moved on to become a Ward Host. This is an important role in the catering department as it involves serving the food to the patients who are in hospital, and being aware of their different dietary needs.

I ready enjoy my work with Three Q as no two days are ever the same. Everyone is very friendly and when clients request that I go back to their units, it makes me feel very proud.

Michael finds his ideal job.

Michael had been working in hotels for a number of years; but he had grown tired of the long days and late nights. He was looking for a job were he could still use his experience as a pastry chef. Michael came on board with Three Q and took a job temping in a city centre hospital.

For Michael, working for Three Q proved to be a great opportunity to work in a variety of different places learning new skills and meeting many new friends. He has now been with the company over a year.

Jody finds a permanent position he loves as Chef de Partie.

Jody left his job. He didn't like it. He gave the agency temp thing a go just to keep the money coming in. Jody was looking for a job he'd like; one that would stretch him and bring pleasure to his days.

Jody was placed in temp contracts from November 2005 and the feedback from every site he was put into about his work ethic and ability was always extremely positive.

In May 2006 Jody was offered a permanent role as Chef de Partie with the company he had been temping for. They had never used a recruitment agency before to fill Chef de Partie positions because there is a lot of movement in these roles. But when they met Jody, they knew they had found the candidate for their organisation. For Jody, it was the job he was looking for. He was delighted that Three Q had taken an interest as his agent and placed him in a job he liked with a company that could see his potential. Even just doing the agency temping route, Three Q Catering pays close attention to our client's likes and dislikes.

Alfred is a temporary employee who joined Three Q Catering in 2004.

He came to the country on a student/football visa and was only allowed to work 20 hours a week. He found it difficult to find work due to his football training and the limitation on his working hours. Alfred worked for us on an on-going temporary basis and when he had to return to Ghana for his Dad's funeral in late 2005, he left secure in the knowledge that he would have a role with us on his return. Alfred returned to Ireland to continue his training and rejoined our company in April 2006.

Alice came to Ireland from China looking for work.

"When I started working for Three Q I had just arrived in Ireland so I didn't know anybody. All the staff in the agency were so friendly and helpful that I felt very much at home from the start.

Three Q has supplied St. Mary's Hospital kitchen with Chefs and Kitchen Staff for a number of years.

St Mary's hospital in the Phoenix Park has 316 beds - with 278 dedicated to caring for the elderly and the remainder to the care of adults with physical disablity. There are 12 wards and a Day Hospital.

We supplied St. Mary's Hospital kitchen with chefs and kitchen staff for a number of years. We met with the Directors of Nursing in 2004 to introduce our Ward Hosts service. Unlike cleaners and catering staff who could only perform one set of functions, our ward hosts are trained to undertake both roles. They have food safety training, experience of working in other hospitals and have completed patient customer care training.

We have supplied St Mary's Hospital with ward hosts since 2004 and the hospital's annual review refers to the fact that all ward hosts from Three Q Catering are "well trained, polite & courteous, flexible, and adaptable."
