CSR and organisations Three Q Supports

Three Q is commited, since its start 10 years ago, to help a number of charitable organisations who\'s work help change the lives of those in need. We want to, as well as help them financially, be able to spread the word about them and help them get more people supporting their work.
CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is defined as a "concept whereby companies integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations and in their interactions with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis."
Three Q is commited, since its start 10 years ago, to help a number of charitable organisations who's work help change the lives of those in need. We want to, as well as help them financially, be able to spread the word about them and help them get more people supporting their work.
We will be profiling one of these organisations on a monthly basis. This time, we want to introduce you to Merchants Quay Ireland - homeless and drug services.
Merchants Quay Ireland is a voluntary organisation providing a wide range of services to people who are homeless and for drug users. In 2006, we worked with over 5,000 drug users and people who were homeless.On their site you will find information about their services and about homelessness and drug use in Ireland. You can access their publications, training course brochures and their comprehensive links section. Their website is www.mqi.ie
There are a number of ways you could assist, either directly or indirectly:

Become a member of MQI's panel of employers who provide job placements and employment to our service users.

Develop an alcohol/drug policy for your workplace.

Introduce an Employee Assistance Programme (E.A.P) into your organisation/workplace.

Develop an inclusive recruitment policy.

Make a corporate donation.

Using Your Influence
There are other ways you can assist Merchants Quay Ireland, for example:

Put them in touch with someone you know who can offer financial support, a service or expertise.

Raise awareness by telling people what you read here.

Advocate on behalf of our client groups.

Use your influence with local and national representatives.
