GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To work in all areas of the kitchen as required and to produce meals at the highest possible level.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Preparation of staff food ensuring they are balanced and nutritional as agreed by Management
- Check the deliveries for correct quality and quantity.
- To ensure that the working area is clean and tidy at all times and maintain as per cleaning schedule.
- To ensure the over and under preparation of food quantity is kept to the minimum.
- To be responsible for the day-to-day running of your assigned section.
- Notify senior members of staff of any foodstuffs required for section so they can be ordered in advance.
- To follow proper opening and closing procedures for each type of shift
